Explanation– Bandobast system was also known as Zabti system. Land was accurately surveyed and a new Jama was prepared. Fresh reforms were taken by Raja Todarmal which were collectively known as Ain-i-Dahsala. Under this system land was divided into four parts- Polaj, Parauti, Chachar and Banjar. Average cash rate of previous 10 years harvest was derived and cash rates was fixed once for all. Remission of revenue was granted during bad season and state advanced loans to cultivators which could be paid back in easy installments. Revenue collectors were required to write officially annual reports about the word character and integrity of the subordinates.
